shutterstock_128674430Dry Cleaning is one of the most effective garment and textile cleaning methods available.

The dry cleaning process is best explained by comparing with a front loader washing machine. The main difference in dry cleaning is the solvent used to clean the garments is not water. The mechanical action is very similar to the laundering process however dry cleaning does not cause damage or shrinkage to delicate fabrics that can often be destroyed in a washing machine.

Our customised dry cleaning processes will have have your garments looking the best and lasting longer.

We employ the use of only the most effective dry cleaning solvents available which will have your garments looking clean as can be. Common solvents that are used in dry cleaning can be seen below:

  • Perchloroethylene (or Perc) is the most effective and energy efficient solvent for cleaning fabrics due to its unique properties. Most garments and textiles which have dry cleaning instructions will conatin the letter “P” which stands for Perc.
  • Hydrocarbon solvent is an alternative solvent we utilise which is effective for cleaning more delicate garments that are heavily beaded or have delicate trim. Garments with dry cleaning intrcutions that contain the letters “A”, “P” or “F” can be cleaned in hydrocarbon solvent. Hydrocarbon covers all wordwide care label instructions.
  • Greenearth is a silicon based solvent marketed as environmentally friendly by a company called Greenearth. Unfortunately, we do not use this solvent as we believe that hydrocarbon is a more effective cleaning solvent due to its proven cleaning ability and efficiency.

During the dry cleaning process the solvent undergoes a filtration process to remove any impurities from the solvent. All solvent is then purified in a distilling process and reused in the next process.

Dry cleaning soap is injected during cleaning to assist with cleaning and stain removal.

Our dry cleaning machines and processes offer the best cleaning available whilst being mindful of the environment by utilising emission free cleaning, energy efficient cycles and the recovery of solvent through our technological advanced distilling process.
