• What can you clean?

  Delicate silks, suede, leather, beads, sequins, painted garments, special trims, couture, and heirloom fabrics are no problem here. Our staff have received dozens of hours of dry cleaning training and are deeply knowledgeable about stain removal and washing methods for a wide variety of fabrics.

  High-end designer label clothing often requires specialist professional dry cleaning, and some labels even recommend the services of Dry Cleaning Institute of Australia members — UPTONS has been a member of the DIA for over 3 decades. Our professionally certified dry cleaner will personally assess these garments upon request and decide on the best cleaning method.

  We also handle many household manchester and soft furnishings items, including doonas / duvets, bedspreads, blankets, mattress toppers, mattress protectors, pillow protectors, bed runners, table cloths, curtains, drapes, sofa covers and cushion covers — plus a linen service for table linens, bed sheets, doona covers and pillow cases. • Do you do alterations, repairs and restoration?

  Our alteration services vary from minor repairs such as stitching on a button to tailoring the most expensive evening gowns:

  • Zipper replacement
  • Taking hems in/out
  • Taking waist in/out
  • Length adjustments
  • Replace/resew buttons
  • Repair torn seams
  • Repair belt loops
  • Replace jeans stud

  UPTONS also specialises in garment restoration for items affected by smoke in house fires, flooding, and even mould outbreaks. We can restore most garments back to their original condition, and insurance companies and disaster recovery organisations often use our services for garment and household item restoration.

• How much is your business shirt service?

  Our business shirt service will have your shirts looking fresh, crisp, and perfectly pressed.

  • From just $6.90 per shirt for 5 or more
  • 5 shirts laundered and pressed for $34.50
  • Shirts laundered, pressed and delivered from $8.50 (minimum 5 per order)
  • Same-day service is available
  • Chipped or missing buttons replaced at no extra cost
  • French cuffs are folded

  Includes men’s and ladies’ short and long-sleeved business shirts, polo shirts, and T-shirts. Starching is available upon request — however, it is recommended to feel the quality of our pressing with no starch. You will be impressed!

  Our shirt special is exclusive to our Bundall, Brickworks, Mermaid, Currumbin and Southport locations, and excludes any shirts that require hand-pressing.

• Do you offer pick-up, delivery or an express service?

  We service a wide area of the Gold Coast with complimentary pick-up and delivery for orders valued at a minimum of $80, for detached residences, apartment buildings, offices, etc. To sign up or confirm that we service your area, please give us a call at 07 5591 5888 and a team member will be with you shortly.

  Same-day service is available on our business shirt service, and we offer a VIP Express service to all of our customers upon request:

  • The option of automatic billing to your credit card
  • SMS notification sent when your order is ready
  • Access to our 24/7 drop off and pick up machine*
  • Personalised VIP Express bag to store your dry cleaning

  Our online customer portal also gives you the ability to manage your orders and garments and provide us with information about specific items, such as stains, alterations needed, and delicate details — sign in through My UPTON Account.

  *Our Ashmore Road and George Street customers will have access to drop off & pick up their dry cleaning 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. See our friendly staff in-store for more details.

• Do you clean and preserve wedding gowns?

  UPTONS is a proud member of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists and is pleased to offer expert care for your precious dress both before and after your wedding day. We have a wedding gown specialist on site who supervises every gown we clean.

  Before the wedding: please get in touch with us at least 4 weeks before your wedding day to book your services. For gowns with extra fabric, special details, or deep stains, you will want to reach us even sooner.

  After the wedding: for a small charge, we can preserve your gown after the cleaning process in a specially designed wedding gown preservation box, professionally packed with acid-free tissue paper and tape-sealed in your own personalised box.

  On quotes: even with photos, it can be difficult to estimate the time required for cleaning without us handling and inspecting your gown firsthand in one of our stores.
